Is it possible to be paid to care for your elderly parents in your home? I have cared for all 4 parents at one time and it was very costly.

If you are asking about government assitance...there isn't much - at least not from the Federal gov. (think about it, why would the gov. pay caregivers when we are working for free and keeping elderly people off their roles?) You may have better luck with your state/city/county. Just go to their websites. There is probably a mountain of paperwork involved, but it may be worth it.
If you are taking the full responsibility for caring for 4 people (oy vey!) then they should be chipping in whatever invome they have to pay for their care. In essence, you have become an "assisted living center." I know how things add up when you are caring for a loved one. Then there all the "invisible" expenses such as your time doing day-to-day caregiving, errands, taxi driving to doc appts., etc.
Do not feel guilty accepting support from your charges. You have a whole lot on your plate.
good luck
