How can I gather more patience when my dad asks me the same questions over and over again?
My dad asks me the same questions and makes the same remarks many times over every day. How can I cope. I want to be respectful and positive but find it hard to keep this up through out the whole day.
I'd recommend two things: One, contact your local Alzheimer's Association for information and training (even if he's not diagnosed with AD). Two, go on your state's Web site under aging services. Look for their Family Caregiver Support Program and see what they offer.
Also, take breaks, know that he doen't do this to annoy you, and keep coming back here for support. hugs, Carol
