How can I cope with my diabetic mother's meanness?

One thing I have learned in my care giving experience, is that they usually don't intend to be mean. They're lives are not what they used to be and they are having trouble grasping that fact. So they act out instead.

Go easy on her and let her know you are there to talk to her if need be.
