Good morning everyone,

Over the weekend, we experienced a technical issue that prevented users from logging into the AgingCare site. The issue was fixed, but some users did not regain access immediately. Our development team did a sweep for affected users yesterday and restored their access.

If you were having issues logging in, a simple password reset will get you back into your account.

Some profile pages were showing 404 errors as part of this issue. These profile pages have been restored.

Updates on other fixes:
Our automatic spam blocker has been extra sensitive as of late and some users have been incorrectly blocked from posting. A fix for this is being coded and should be ready in approximately 2 weeks (allow a few extra days for testing and troubleshooting). If you feel you’ve been blocked in error, please use the “Send Us a Message” form on this page to let us know: agingcare.com/aboutus.

Message deletion is down on profile pages. A fix for this will be coded after the work on the spam blocker.

Additionally, our roadmap for the future includes building a messaging "block" feature, to stop messages from people you don't want to hear from.
In the meantime, you can hide the public messages other users have left on your wall by going to agingcare.com/profile/privacy and turning off “Show Public Messages” in your privacy settings.

Looked like the site was having problems earlier today. I got the weird strung out on the left hand side page too. All OK now.

I'm back too. I knew it wasn't affecting everyone because I could see others were posting so I tried my tablet and was able to access the site from there. Hopefully it was just a temporary glitch.

Major technical issues for me this a.m. I got the most weird pages in which there was a menu thing with the three lines, and when I accessed it I could eventually find out how to see some questions, and some replies, but looked like this weird world otherland site, and I couldn't post or sign in to do anything.
I am now back to normal after having been bone four hours or so.
Hopefully this is fixed.
Looks like cwillie had some odd stuff going on as well.
I don't see others? Who had odd things, I mean?

There is a scammer Stephentownsend who sent me a private message with an email address asking to communicate. He included a photo. His profile indicates he is following BarbBrooklyn, JeanneGibbs, Glad and several others,
I googled his name. The scammer is using the name and photo of a US general as part of a scam.

This was posted several hours ago. You might want to remove his account.

Does anyone know if VA "In Home Solutions" is legitimate? They say they have VA approved lawyers there to help the case workers get those requests for aid and attendance, but they seem to be a private company. They want money.

I've noticed the past day or two that when I am in my Activity page, it has stopped listing them from newest to oldest. It starts with ones that are several days old and I have to scroll down to find the most recent ones. I'd prefer it go back to newest to oldest.

Our Forum is back looking like it once did.
I am beyond thrilled.
Just was saying to AnxietyNacy that I have no elasticity, no resilience, and don't take change well. So this is the loveliest thing to happen to me so far today!

Also, is there a way to keep replies to people down the thread from getting lost? Lots of times there are really good and on-topic questions that never get answered and I’m sure new people who ask them are thinking they are being ignored.

Can we please get the ability to report a new post so that people won't keep commenting on them and bring them to the top of the forum?

And come on everybody, stop feeding the trolls!! Chances are very high that the very first comment was made in order to report the post and you too can use that to log a report, there's no need to keep commenting over and over. Alternatively use the contact us feature to report problematic posts without ever having to make a contribution to that thread.

They are absolutely more responsive now, both with tech that scans for problem posts and in removing posts that don't follow their guidelines. There was a period of time when there were so many trolls and fights among members I was afraid the forum was going to flame out
