Writing the obituary. It only took me six days. And cost $1234.00.

I don't regret one penny or word. This damned disease robs them of so much, I was going to restore as much as I could. And my mom would have liked it.

That said, if anyone has not read the Rick Stein obit, of Wilmington, you should. Link here. Read the comments. I first read of it in the Washington Post.

Very lovely obit. Very well Done. What a remarkable lady. I too love the Gilcrease.

You did well.
Keeping you in my prayers.

Yes she was. A formidable force in our lives. We are numb and grief stricken. But we have to take comfort in that she is at peace and in a better place. But we will miss her. We already do.

Thank you so much for your reply.

Beautiful obituary & tribute to your mother Seg. Been thinking of you, hope you’re hanging in there during this difficult time. Your mother was an amazing woman!

In case anyone interested, this is the obit I wrote for my mom. This was placed with the funeral home. Free. It will appear in the Sunday paper with photo. It does not cost more to,place in Sunday paper. It costs what it costs.
