I moved away from my parents due to my health. I do have more family that lives near. My dad never lets me help with my Mom. I just am sad.

My Mom has Alzheimers. Everything I set up for them they turn down. It has been so hard for me to move forward. My dad is always the head of the house he is 88. My Mom is 85. I am so very sad.

No one in the family goes by there.

Maybe just once a week my brother will stop in for a few minutes. I just am so very sad!

Have you talked to your father and mother about what they think? 'No-one in the family seems to visit you any more. Does that worry you?' It's a different way to approach things.

I know it can difficult. Does your mother need help that your father is refusing? Do you know what is wrong with him? If you're unsettled about your mom needing more care than dad is accepting, I'd discuss it with family and find out who the POA is. I'd explore the options with them and an attorney to get mom the help she needs.
