Caring for myhusband (58).

My husband is a type I diabetic with many health issues, as well as, injuries relating to his job as a firefighter for 30 years

I can read between those lines, Bobby...you're being cheated out of your golden years because hubby can't dance and party with you. Mine's been too mobility impaired, largely due to his own really bad health habits, not even specific injuries or disease, to really do much of anything active or fun for about 8 years - he's now just 65. It sucks! We can cry on each other's shoulders...not easy to see other couples out at least out walking hand in hand sometimes.

IF my sweetie gets his act together and ultimately rehabs well from his hip surgery, we are hoping to do a river cruise for our 40th anniversary. Some days that looks do-able, other days that's looking like a really , really big IF.

Get his firehouse brethren to stop by and cheer him up. They never forget their own.
