Ada County has an active case, involving foul play (murder) on her. I would like to find out how to obtain a Delayed Death Certificate for her. The Detective has answered the questions required on the H & W form to file for a Delayed Death certificate, but only after you obtain the Death Certificate. All evidence indicates she was buried off Pleasant Valley Rd south of Boise, Idaho and digs but the detective have been done to attempt to find her remains, based on credible information. My family has done a foot search in the same area. After 30 years out there, we will likely never find any bones. How do I go about getting a death certificate when there was no coroner involved?
Secondly, I am so surprised you haven't gone to your local police station or sheriff who is following this case, K. We are a Forum from all round the world, and you don't even tell us where you are from.
Let's just me start with telling you what I surmise, or "guess". First of all the only Ada County I can find is Idaho. Is that correct?
There is a process to apply for a death certificate in Idaho for a missing person.
You can download the application online and submit it.
The way I got this information was to first:
1. Go to your favorite search engine: Google, Bing, any of those.
2. Type in "How to get death certificate for missing person in Idaho"
3. That will bring you to sites that will not only tell you how to do the process, but will allow you to download a PDF of the missing person death certificate application.
4. These come through your country office most normally, so if you are having trouble with this process go to your local county courthouse and throw yourself upon their mercy.
I am so very sorry this is the case for you. Again, I cannot imagine this. My heart goes out to you. I wish you good luck. The state and county and township officials are there to help you, just as they have throughout this sad process. As them how to go about this if you are having trouble. With knowing almost nothing this is the best I could do.
Remember, in most things today the internet is your friend. You can just about type in any question on the search bar and come up with something to get you started. I hope that you will update us when you find a way to get this done.
Please take care.
