Find Care & Housing
Oh, I see. Initially, I misread the question. I thought there was already a POA who was refusing to cooperate with a move. I would listen to the attorneys advice, assuming the document is signed. Make sure it is Durable. I would also get one for Healthcare and a Living Will, if possible. I would discuss how you will need to use them in another state. Make sure they can be valid there.

Could you provide a little more information about the situation? Like, is the POA a family member, have they refused to move the parents, have they explained their position, what is the benefit, is the problem money or transport, etc.
