My husband is 63 has Posterior Cortical Atrophy also dementia. He is having a problem finding toilet. Suggestions? I believe it's his vision.

I have a nightlight in the bathroom and always leave the door open so that my husband can find it. The light was too bright originally, so I painted the cover with pale yellow paint and that muted the brightness enough.

What your husband has been diagnosed with is simply that the Alzheimer's has affected the part of his brain that has to do with vision more than memory ..at least at this time. A red toilet is a great idea or any way that you can make it stand out.

Get a red toilet seat. People with Alzheimer’s/dementia see that more easily .
