Kennedy terminal ulcer

Mom had one. She lasted about 3 months. Yes she was treated by the wound care RN.

Yes, I was called when the hospice RN saw it developing and she implied Mom would pass in the very near future. Mom was a tough bird.

A Kennedy Ulcer is typically seen 12 to 24 hours prior to death. This is not a "normal" pressure sore

Not sure if you have a question here, but yes, Kennedy ulcers are in most cases fatal. Hopefully if someone you know has one they are being treated by a wound care specialist.
