Dads POA

I would like to know if the POA has a duty of care to contact famIly members if a parent has deceased or is in ill health. My dad is in a nursing home. My sibling has decided not to have any contact with me. Who has POA. I have a relationship with my dad and visit when I can.

POA requires handling the person's affairs as they would when they were of sound mind.

If dad told you all his medical information when he was of sound mind. it would be right for the current POA to tell you. If dad didn't share, then it would be incorrect and a violation of the fiduciary responsibilities to share with you.
