Arrange for safety for yourself and placement for him. Heed what the others have said. He is unpredictable and it is no longer safe for you to be living with him, Please act quickly on this. We know it isn't easy, but your options are limited now by the progression of his diseases.
BTW, I just recently watched a police body cam video where a man with FTD killed and dismembered his beloved wife. His wife would never leave him because she said she knew he would never hurt her.

Absolutely correct. Make up anything. Say you are afraid he is stroking out. Once he is in there, leave. Let them communicate by phone. Tell them he cannot return home, that he is a danger to you and you are frightened. Get the SOCIAL WORKERS INVOLVED RIGHT AWAY ON MONDAY.
You cannot be around him anymore. Next time it could be worse. Please explore your options. It’s pretty simple - either he moves out or you do. Immediately.

Its not okay for a man with or w/o dementia to physically restrain you. Next comes the hitting and God knows what else. It happens ALL the time. Make sure there are no firearms or knives in the house, and tell dh you will not tolerate this abuse from him ever again. Protect yourself, his brain is not working and yours is.
Totally agree! Last thing Sharon923 needs is to be charged with wrongful death because of drunken idiot who lost his balance and hit his head or fell down the stairs!
