Both my parents need care. Do I get a discount for 2 people?

Discount from who? Medicaid? caregivers? a facility?
Whoever you are considering, you need to ask them.

Sometimes if you have a homecare agency and explain that both parents need care they usually will find an aide the will provide both care I’m not sure if you get an discount or not but it’s worth the try and that way they have the same person caring for them. Private duty aides most likely charge for both I’ve had husbands and wife and the family paid 60$ an hour for both for 4 days a week. For 6 hours But I live in CT it cost a little more here.

Do your homework. Some places can accommodate both parents in 1 room and may charge less than 2 separate private rooms However, each parent will incur costs for room, board, nursing care, etc. Expect to pay for 2 semi-private occupants and ask for discounts. If you get one, good for you. BUT, do not expect it since all the people caring for your parents need to be paid per resident.

I paid a lot more for my 2 parents living in AL than 1, that's for sure! There are 2 separate care contracts, first of all, 2 different people with 2 different sets of needs. The basic rent for their apartment was X and then I paid another $1500 a month or so for the 2nd persons occupancy/food/laundry/housekeeping etc. Then the care. This was in 2014 when prices were much lower, so I can't imagine what they are now. It's unrealistic to expect discounts for 2 people instead of 1, which is like asking for such a discount on a travel tour of Europe!
