I am a caregiver looking for a private client without going through an agency. Where do I look?

I have an expert of over 2 years and I love my work.

Wonderful. Hope you will explore in your own are how best to advertise your services. You may want to check out such online services as Care.com. You would do well to get yourself bonded. Many seniors use much more expensive Agencies because they think that the workers are better "vetted" and checked out as far as any criminal background and etc. Seniors are (and SHOULD be) quite afraid of identity theft and so on, and those children who are hiring for their parents are very afraid as well.

Bring with you letter of recommendation that will allow seniors to communicate by phone or zoom with people you cared for. Give any documentation as to classes, CPR training and so on. If you drive and have a car, present copies of your insurance if asked.

Wishing you good luck. If you have difficulties you may want to work through an agency just to get your feet on the ground, collect some letters of recommendation, be aware of classes that are extant in your area. You would also come into contact with other caregivers who could give you pointers.
