Many seniors use much more expensive Agencies because they think that the workers are better "vetted" and checked out as far as any criminal background and etc. Seniors are (and SHOULD be) quite afraid of identity theft and so on, and those children who are hiring for their parents are very afraid as well.
Bring with you letter of recommendation that will allow seniors to communicate by phone or zoom with people you cared for. Give any documentation as to classes, CPR training and so on. If you drive and have a car, present copies of your insurance if asked.
