What is the best way to find memory care facilities for my 98-year-old mother that will accept medicaid after her self-pay funds run out?

She is now living with me. I have some health issues and cannot help her with stairs, in addition to other things that she will need in the near future.

You can narrow it down fairly quickly by joining Nextdoor.com, which is an intranet of your actual neighbors (non-anonymous) and in near communities. Make a post like this: "ISO Recommendations for memory care facilities that accept Medicaid" You will get lots of good and objective input from people who have actually have or had LOs in facilities. Then you can choose a few and do an on-site visit to get their pricing (and the Nextdoor responders can probably give you pricing info themselves).

Bettinas, you can try www.agingcare.com/local/memory-care, they probably already have a list of such facilities.
