My father's sudden independence.

It's a little surpising. He has (very lately, the last month) been making doctor's appts, bank appts and signed up for physical therapy

I like the re-wording admins (I think?) have done on this "question".
My Father's sudden independence! Sounds WONDERFUL. So I am saying Kudos to dad.

That's great, isn't it? Maybe he was depressed before and it is lifting and he now has a little more energy.

Here is one of Mary's first posts to help u understand this post.

Why is this a bad thing? From you first posts he was hard to deal with, hygiene was bad. I also read, he really did not want you involved after your Mom passed. Sister was helping him?

So why does this bother you that he is now taking care of himself?

None of us can understand what the issue/problem is now Mary.
You say your father is "taking care of business" with appointments, banking and PT.
Why is this a problem.
