I’m in my 50s and I’m an LPN nurse by profession, however I’m open to do home care cases, how can I find private cases?

I’m tired of working in the nursing home , I just wanna do private pay cases . Is there any website to register beside care.com ? Please if you know any let me know

Check with "in home" services like Hospice. Where I live Hospice and in home services used temporarily after a hospital visit are one and the same. Sometimes families want to hire an extra aide because services can't provide enough hours.

You can promote your availability on Nextdoor.com You will need a resume and references, and possibly liability insurance. Do not work for someone unless you have a solid contract. Resist being a "live-in" aid since this usually devolves into 24/7 on-call slavery. Resist being paid under the table since doing this robs yourself of SS contributions from your actual paychecks -- you will need this for your own old age care. You also need 40 quarters of reported work history in order to qualify for Medicare. You can consider working through Care.com and build up experience and contacts that way. Eveyone I know who have private nurse in-home care either did an ISO on social media or were found by word-of-mouth recommendations.

I get it that you're weary of working for the Nursing Homes, but do hope you are pursuing Home Care work for all the Right reasons.

Speak with other LPNs in your area about how they are finding private duty cases. Explore agencies. Good luck.
