Can a family member be paid to be the caretaker of their parents?

I know that in Washington they have a program that segues a relative into a paid caregiver. In my situation, I've been taking care of my folks for between 15 and 20 years. It hasn't always been full time work, but recently it has become so. A year ago I had to move them in with me because it was easier to do so I needed with them closer. There isn't enough time in the day to get another job, but I need an income. What do I do? Are there any options for me?

There are options in Idaho. https://www.aidaly.com/states/how-to-get-paid-family-caregiver-idaho. It would be thru Medicaid so you may need legal advice if you have commingled funds for parents to qualify.

If either of your parents are Veterans the VA will pay you to care for the Veteran.
And if either is a Veteran check to see if they qualify for any benefits.
Easiest way to do this would be to check with your local Veterans Assistance Commission. Their services are free.
