I have a question regarding my mother living in my home with escalating Alzheimer's.

She is an angry Alzheimer's and it's hard to deal with. However, she doesn't have the money to move into an assisted living center nor do I have money for her. She really needs a memory care facility which is much more expensive. Does anyone know how to manage a situation like this?

Here are 2 Area Agency on Aging websites, depending on which county you’re in. Hope you can find some help.

Have you consulted her doctor, preferably a neurologist, about her difficult behaviors? There may be medication to help calm some of the issues and help you both cope better. Also, contact your local Area Agency on Aging for advice on what help or services may be available. There are steps to becoming Medicaid eligible for the time when nursing home level care may be needed

Was your dad a vet who served during the war? Can you get military benefits?
