Looking for home care but only have Medicare and I am in Upstate New York. Any advice?

Nusing home I am in now they treat me bad and I am 91 and can't walk but i want to go back home but I only have medacare no medacad I have no money for private nursing care. I was just wondering if someone could help me out on what I can do.

Sorry, you can ask to be transferred but I doubt if they will send you home. Its called an "unsafe discharge".

To be in a facility you do have Medicaid if you can't private pay. They pay for your care and you offset it with your SS and pension, if u receive one. You could call Adult Protection Services to investigate your circumstances. They may help you get transferred to another facility.

If you can't walk alone, and you can't afford private care, you need to be in a facility.

If you can’t afford private nursing care at home, if family won’t provide this, then they can’t release you except to another facility.
