I suggest that you tour a few places an at different times of day and see for yourself what they are like. There are so many places and "Chicagoland" is a huge area. When I say "the Chicago area" I could mean anything in Cook, Lake even McHenry County and that is just going north. The Chicagoland area could also include parts of Indiana. Narrow down the area you want to look in Consult the Medicare Website they do have ratings for Nursing Homes but they will also include other facilities. Last time I looked they even gave an idea as to what the violation was. Talk to people. If you belong to a Support Group talk to people there and see what their experiences have been. Just know that no place is going to be perfect. Everyone will have complaints.
