Low tech solution to alert me when Mom’s rollator is in motion. Would a noisemaker on her wheel spokes make a click clackitty sound?

Remember when kids used to put a card or something on their wheel spokes for a kind of motor sound? I think I would hear her using it to go to the bathroom at night. Has anyone tried this?

It depends on how loud of a sound you wish: there are motion sensors and alarms that are attached using a small magnet on one end tethered to an alarm box and when the person or walker moves so that the magnet gets pulled off its seat, it triggers the alarm and it stays on until someone comes to reattach it. We have this for my aunt because she forgets she can't really walk and often will attempt to get out of her recliner unaided.
