Are you a 12 year old trying to look after your dad? If so, you need to ask your mom or another adult for help because it's dangerous for your dad to keep throwing up without knowing the cause for it. Please call 911 if there is no other adult around to help you, ok?

Yes, you need to know why the person is vomiting. It will cause dehydration.

Please contact a medical professional. Vomiting can lead to dehydration which can be deadly for seniors and the very young.

One of my children was a puker and we had to keep Gravol Suppositories in stock at all time as she just brought right back up any medication we tried to get her to swallow.

Hi Hailey,
It's hard to say-- sometimes vomiting can be from the flu and should go away on its own, but sometimes it can be from something else.
Here's a link to an article from the Mayo Clinic about what to look out for and when it might be good to get medical help. See what you think. Lisa's suggestion is excellent-if your dad has an insurance card in his wallet the number may be on it.

Do you have access to an advice nurse through insurance? For Kaiser, they have someone you can call for these questions. I'm sorry, I don't know any tips. I'm sending good thoughts your way.
