My client was in the beginning stages of dementia when he had a profound stroke. He cannot talk, and moves with great difficulty. Usually, he is incontinent.
He is very resistant to any suggestions that he bathe or shower. Sometimes he'll indicate that he's ready to take a shower and then change his mind.
What have other caregivers done to overcome this? Thank you in advance for your kind help.

And for the in-between showers or sponge baths, you can use the extra large body wipes, and the waterless shampoo caps.
