Can a nursing home in a Covid lockdown accept a patient from the hospital?

Carolann2244 Jul 2021
My dad went during lockdown, he just was isolated for 14 days. Now he’s vaccinated so I don’t know what the rule would be.

My mom came back to her nursing home from the hospital, then a rehab stay. She was quarantined for two weeks when she first came back, then tested positive on the last day and was quarantined for an additional three weeks. They handled it all just fine, and she was care for by caregivers who'd had Covid already.

Most places have opened up. Even during COVID they took patients but guaranteed them.

If the transferring patient is covid (-) and vaccinated, yes. It would be assumed that the residents who were covid (+) at the SNF were sequestered and that the (-) residents had been vaccinated.
