Will Medicaid pay part of the Nursing Home fee if Long Term Care insurance only pays some of the fee?
Local nursing home charge about $4000 a month more than the allotment of our Long Term Health Insurance. I cannot afford the extra $4000 a month and don’t know if Medicaid will cover the supplemental amount.
That’s a question for Medicaid in your state. Or a qualified elder care attorney in your state who knows Medicaid’s rules. Medicaid might just help pay if you are under the income & asset limit in NY (which is higher than most states).
