What bed rails are allowed in an assisted living?

Pushing one specific brand from the hundreds that are available makes me wonder if there is a corporate agreement with the manufacturer 😠

This is the decision of each facility, so only they can answer this question. It is a safety issue in that some rails that are portable cause slippage and falls in the opinio of facilities. Would a walker at the bedside of a three prong cane help? You may be stuck with ordering a hospital bed, but ask the facility what will work for them. It is up to them to OK all equipment and to test it to their standards.

Yep, we were told the same thing. Moms bar was for her being able to pull herself up after a back procedure. She had a bad shoulder and was not able to out it over her head. My daughter didn't understand this because ALs are residences. She thought I could have pushed it. But I didn't.
