How do I get help for my teeth?

I had teeth they all got to come out, haven't got the money. What do I do?

Have you contacted all the dentists in Fallon to see if any of them accept payment plans?

If none of them do, what about Reno, Sparks, Carson City? I know it is quite the drive, but you have to do whatever you need to do to get your teeth dealt with.

See if you can find a University near you with a School of Dentistry. Often the dental students run a clinic where they are supervised by instructors. These clinics see low income folks and may possibly charge you less but you’ll probably have to pay something.

Medicaid does pay for dental services but the problem is finding a dentist that accepts Medicaid.

Dental work is expensive and most dental plans don’t cover a lot of the cost.
We just have to save and pay. That’s why the Dental school idea is a good one. If you locate one please call for an appt in advance as these programs are booked up way in advance.

Extractions, fortunately, are less costly than root canals. You may negotiate with a dentist to get the cost down if you are lucky.

My husband had extensive dental work done and it cost $10K plus for extractions and dentures. He had to have the work done as his teeth due to bad periodontal disease (genetics, his mom had bad teeth).

We had to pay almost everything up front so I know how expensive dental work is. But his infection could have spread to his heart valves and he could have developed sepsis. It just needed to be done.

Good luck!

Medicaid in Nevada does include dentistry, apparently. Does your dentist accept Medicaid? Are you eligible for Medicaid?
