Is it safe to say Medicare will not pay for personal care?

If you are not Medicaid eligible, Medicare will not pay for custodial health....

Only thing needed help with is showering once/week?

No Medicare does not pay for care. Only time it does is after a hospital/rehab stay. Once the person is done with treatment/therapy, it stops. During the time they are there, an aide is provided.

You may want to try Office of Aging. I was lucky, a frien of my daughter's would come in an bathe Mom for me.
