Thought it might be more economical to find someone who wanted a rent free room to stay in home and care for my father. Is there a service to help match people to this need?
I don’t believe there is a specific service for this but there are sites like care.com that many use. Are you aware that a live in caregiver must be paid a full salary? They must be paid for every hour worked. Overtime laws must be followed as well. And you have to workman’s comp insurance (or have Special coverage under your home owners insurance? You would become an employer and as such, be responsible for payroll taxes etc.
