Has your wife taken a turn for the worse or is this just hypothetical planning? I think you need to talk to the facility to get a definitive answer because every jurisdiction has different rules, where I live people are allowed to be with anyone who is imminently dying in hospital or long term care. Tests - types and availability - vary as well, the people I know who have been tested get results in 2 - 4 days.
