I was diagnosed with early stage cataracts four years ago at age sixty but can still see well. Doctor told me it will be a while before surgery.

I live alone from out of state family.

I am so thankful that you are still seeing well. I am in the same boat and just talked with my doc. I am now 78 and have dealt with some cataracts for some time now, as well as a vitreous separation in my right eye. My doctor said "If I told you your vision would be about 25 to 30% better would you want surgery or are you happy ENOUGH right now. And the latter is the case. I am not one to want procedures too early as I was a nurse; unfortunate thing is we always saw the people where "something went wrong". Though usually it doesn't, we didn't see the ones who were thrilled. They went home happy. Good luck.
