Thanks for suggestions. I have seen list of geriatric doctors before, but had never explored the main website which led me to this page of agency resources some of whom I might contact:

In the Greater Hartford/Tolland area, there is Dr. Aida Becker (Prime Healthcare) who manages care at home, although the APRN is the one who actually comes to the home. phone number is 860-454-0303

Some doctor's offices now have Nurse Practitioners that may do visits. I see it happening more and more in hospital. Call Hospitals around you and clinics. With having elderly in their 80s and 90s, home visits are very much needed.

Have you called geriatric doctors? I googled Connecticut house call doctors, it came up with quite the list.

We use Visiting Physicians. I believe their company is nationwide. They do have a website. They are not perfect and you need to keep an eye on things like prescription refills. Also, last week a medical equipment company showed up at our door with a blood oxygen monitor for testing for my husband that the nurse practitioner had ordered and never told us. But, I had called many places including all the major hospitals in my area and doctors who make house calls are like hen’s teeth.

Thank you. I had never heard of Visiting Physicians before, and initially got excited, but under "locations" they only list 12 states and Connecticut is not one of them. Such a shame; it looks like an excellent resource if you are in the "right" state! You are so right that "doctors who make house calls are like hen's teeth". I have been searching and searching.

Perhaps ask your current doctor. Taking Mom to her doc appointment was exhausting for her and for me. I just happened to mention it was getting harder to get her there when he piped up and said he'd come to Mom's house! And he did come once before she died!

If the current doc doesn't then perhaps he/she can recommend one who does.

Thank you. In the many calls I've made, I think I did talk to them but I will go back and check my call list. I have been searching for a year and a half.
