What to do when the Alzheimer's patient talks non stop?

I'm sure that is quite annoying. You have to find a way to tune it out and/or at least turn down the volume. Maybe put on some pleasant music or a noise machine to help give you something else to listen to?

Many years ago when I did child care my sanity was saved by earplugs, the soft foam ones you can buy at the local drug store. You don't have to worry about missing anything because they don't completely block sound, they just turn down the volume - sometimes that makes all the difference.

I am sure this is unnerving. If it isn’t something terribly important then try to ignore as much as you can. I’m so sorry that you are struggling with this situation.
