I've been Mama's caregiver for 10 to 15 years. The nursing home has appointed themselves as mama's payee. Can I use POA to override that?

Had her locked in there wouldn't release her. Next thing you know they've got her locked in $8,700 a month. Institutional insurance threatened if she left to call adult protective services on me and take away her insurance. Now I can't get her check started back because they've made themselves payee over her social security. Can you please help me out? Desperately need help. Corruption in nursing home administrator.

Now she's back home but they don't want to give her social security check back the nursing home says that she's incompetent could you make that decision can I use my power of attorney to override that?

OP has multiple posts about this. His mom is no longer in the nursing home. He does not have POA and I don’t believe his mom is competent. https://www.agingcare.com/questions/i-finally-got-my-mother-out-of-the-nursing-home-after-they-threatened-me-now-she-doesnt-get-checks-455293.htm

Almost all of her Social Security check would go to nursing home as her share of cost.
