Having conversations in your sleep?

My 80 year old husband was talking to others and asking questions while he was sleeping. This went on for about two hours. When I moved his covers to awaken him, he was fine as soon as he went to sleep he started taking again.

I used to talk in my sleep
I would think it is nothing to worry about but if this just started and coincides with a medication change or other personality changes it might be worth talking to the doctor about it.

I've heard this can be a side effect of some medications.

My mom is 89,, she talks in her sleep.. sometimes its funny to hear! When I was growing up one of my cousins used to talk in his sleep.. we would all listen, and try to redirect him to things we wanted to know ( he was older) Its a normal thing, nothing to worry about in my opinion.
