My children had to take leave of their jobs to care for me after surgery. Can they be compensated?

Doubtful there is any reimbursement. I used every bit of my vacation & sick time, never got any comp...(but it didn't actually occur to me either). So good luck, maybe there's some new laws since I had 2 do it.

If you qualify for medicaid, there is a program, where someone helping you can be paid to help you.

If you qualify for Medicaid, check your state's self-directed Medicaid Assistance program. Be aware that Medicaid Caregiver Assistance may only apply in cases of long -term caregiving, and may not cover temporary post-surgical care.

You can certainly compensate them with your own money.

Who do you want to compensate them?
