Does the VA offer nursing or companion help at night to someone who just had a stroke and in a sub acute rehab facility?
Does the VA provide any assistance for a WWII Vet that needs additional help at night. Just had a stroke, currently in a sub acute rehab facility, but need a 1:1 for a short period to time.
I would think not. If he has applied & received Aid & Assistance you can use that money for payment for the 1:1 care. If he hasn’t applied for A&A you can begin the process of applying but you most likely not be approved quickly enough to provide payment for your current situation. The CG will have to be paid out of pocket.
