What do you do when your 92 year old mom gets to stage 6 of the 7 stages of Alzheimer's? She is sundowning and has become belligerent.

Mom fell and broke her pelvis. We had to move her from assisted living to a group home for more care while healing. She really went downhill. She thinks it is her house and is bossing the caregivers around and trying to get out the door. She doesn't remember anything the next day. What are we supposed to do now?

Have her tested for a UTI. Sometimes that can really cause a problem with advancing dementia symptoms.
Let her doctor know of her condition.
Perhaps her meds need adjusting.
Is she getting physical therapy?
