My mum has Alzheimer’s and has stopped talking for over 2 weeks now, could anyone tell me why?

She is 85.

I think this link will be helpful for you:

I'm very sorry you're going through this, just wish I had something more positive to offer. Hugs, it's very hard.

What country are you in, Rose?

Your local Alzheimer's charities will all have websites, which will include detailed descriptions of how this horrible disease progresses. Have you noticed any other changes in your mother's behaviour?

Hi I’m in Australia, I have noticed a few things like l took her for a walk around the nursing home and she picked a plant and put it in her mouth and also she puts layers of clothes on. Also when she was home she would throw her clothes out in the garbage bins outside. She would get aggressive with some carers at home but she seems okay with the carers in the nursing home. My mum was very moody even when she didn’t have Dementia.
