My husband with Alz picks at his skin. Should I just let him do it?

He pulls off bandaids during the night. Gloves? He pulls them off, too.

I wouldn’t because those sores he picks at could become infected and then you’d have a whole nother set of problems. My husband comes from a family of “pickers”. His dad used to squeeze zits on his daughter’s faces and one of my SILs has scars. My husband also picks at scabs. He’s not as bad now.

Go to Google and research medical supply houses who may have clothing for disabled people. There may be a long-sleeved shirt with mittens attached that he could wear. Also, check with his doctor. I remember hearing that some Alzheimer’s patients feel like they have bugs crawling on their skin. He may benefit from an anti anxiety Med.
