My mother has been having issues with delusions, paranoia & hallucinations recently. Any suggestions?
Doctor prescribed Risperdal, but after reading things online like "increased mortality in elderly patients with dementia" I am reluctant to give it to her. Anyone have someone they are caring for that takes Risperdal??
My mother was on low-dose Resperadal and it did help with her anxiety and aggressive behaviors. The worst side-effect she had was drowsiness. If she is living with you, make sure you know what to watch for as far as side effects and symptoms go. Her doctor can give you better advice than the Internet. Good luck. I hope it helps her.
