Medicare won’t pay for in-home caregiving. In California we have in-home support services through medi-cal, if your mom qualifies they will pay for a set amount of hours (not full time and they pay minimum wage). You will have to find and hire the caregiver.

Where I live, your need to pay at least 2 yrs. private pay and Medicaid may take over. It depends on if the AL has reached the % of residents on Medicaid they allow.
