I have POA in NY of my mother. How can I, or can I cash in Mom's life insurance policy if I am not the benificiary and just the POA?

My brother had it but robbed her of $40000 and did it in such a way that it can't be tracked or proved. My mother has dementia. My brother who robbed her is the beneficiary of her life insurance policy that I need to pay for her care. How can I or can I cash it in if I am not the benificary and just the POA?

Talk to an Elder Care Attorney about the life insurance policy The attorney can tell what your legal options are and assist you if need be. I am so sorry that your brother took your Mother's money. We are hearing about this more and more on this forum. How sad that children are treating their parents this way. Please know that we are here to offer support or to listen if you wish to "VENT " your feelings. God Bless.
