As a widow of a deceased Korean War veteran am I entitled to any of his benefits, even though I am remarried?

I especially need mortgage help. Thanks for any info you can advise me on. Sincerely, Carol

Check with your local VA office. You say you are a remarried widow not a divorcee. Remarrying can make you ineligible for benefits but the laws have changed so you might be eligible for survivors benefits. It depends on how old you were when you remarried and what his years of service were I believe? I looked into this when MIL got sick but she's a divorcee not a widow. I think if you remarried after 55, benefits wouldn't be affected?
