Mom is in a nursing home and the funds have run out. Is there a checklist out there of all the things I will need to make copies of for the Medicaid process? Is applying for Medicaid difficult? Thanks.
You need to contact your local Medicaid agency. Mine was located at Social Services. Call ahead and ask them what info they will need and set up an appt. For me, I hired a lawyer because there was a house. Make an appt to talk to a caseworker. A lawyer fees can be taken from Moms money.
