Pain beginning in the lower back. Would this be another stage beginning with the Alzheimer's?

My Mother in Love was diagnosed 4 years ago with Alz. and she has been very healthy (except her mind). She has begun to complain about pain in her lower back and upper back. Would this be another stage beginning with the Alzheimer's?

Pain should always be investigated; and since kidney problems are a classic source I should get her checked out urgently.

I agree, check for UTI or Kidney stones...

I would get her checked for a urinary tract infection first. Pain in the back can be coming from the kidneys. I don't know that it's a stage in Alzheimers.
