Eye and dental exams were challenging. Any tips?

Elderly should have yearly eye exams. If his dental history has been good, then I would ask dentist if going a year would be OK.

Good ideas. I would make appts late morning or early afternoon. Mornings involved with breakfast getting them dressed. Late afternoon sundowners comes into the picture.

Sympathetic practitioners, for one thing. Some are better than others. If yours aren't, ask around and see if you can't find ones with the requisite patience and flexibility.

Be prepared to waste a certain amount of money, if need be. It is better to give up before the appointment becomes distressing and rebook in the hope that your husband will be having a better day next time than to persist if he isn't coping.

Keep a mood diary for a while and see if you can identify times of day or days of the week that are promising.
