Single son taking care of 83 year old mother and trying to work too. Can she get financial assistance from the state or SSI or??? I am the only child and can not afford to pay someone to come in.
If she gets SS she can't receive SSI. SSI is for people with no income. You could try Medicaid for an aide. Your local Office of the Aging maybe able to help too.
